Buyer terms

Placing orders

When you place an order, you enter a direct purchase agreement with the seller. Craftrader facilitates the transaction but isn't the seller of record.

Payment

  • Collected at checkout via secure processors
  • Funds held in escrow until delivery
  • Cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay accepted

Buyer Protection

All purchases covered by Craftrader Buyer Protection:

  • Refund if item never arrives
  • Refund if significantly different than described
  • Refund if arrives damaged (with photo evidence)

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate shipping info
  • Be available to receive packages
  • Report issues within 7 days of delivery
  • Communicate respectfully with sellers

Seller terms

Eligibility

  • 18+ years old
  • Handmade by you, vintage (20+ years), or craft supplies
  • Comply with applicable laws
  • Accurately represent your products

Listing requirements

  • Original photos taken by you (or AI-enhanced from your originals)
  • Accurate descriptions, dimensions, materials
  • Fair shipping costs and processing times
  • Disclose any imperfections

Order fulfillment

  • Ship within stated processing time
  • Provide tracking info
  • Package securely
  • Communicate proactively about delays
Prohibited items: Mass-produced goods marketed as handmade, counterfeits, weapons, drugs, hazardous materials, IP-violating items, hate/discriminatory items.

Simple, transparent fees. No monthly charges. No listing fees.

Payouts

  • Every Friday for orders delivered the previous week
  • Direct deposit (1-2 business days)
  • Minimum payout: $10
  • Held 7 days after delivery for buyer protection

Returns & disputes

Return policy

Each seller sets their own policy, shown on the product page. Default:

  • Standard items: 30-day return window
  • Custom orders: Final sale (unless damaged)
  • Digital products: Non-refundable

How to request

  1. Contact seller via Craftrader Messages
  2. If unresolved in 48h, open dispute
  3. Provide photos and details
  4. Craftrader mediates within 3-5 business days

Refund process

  • Credited to original payment method
  • 5-10 business days processing
  • Buyer pays return shipping unless damaged/misrepresented
